Wilkinson-Sinton Has Hidden Her Involvement In the Marijuana Industry From Coronado Voters

On both applications, Wilkinson-Sinton disclosed these two facts on her application, but we haven’t heard a word about this in her campaign for City Council.

At Coronado Rotary Candidate Forum, Wilkinson-Sinton Made Many False Statements about the TJ Sewage Crisis

At the 33:05 point into this video, Laura Wilkinson-Sinton talks about the sewage crisis.

She says "Coronado chose an isolationist strategy that was very quiet," taking aim at Mayor Bailey and the City Councils of the last eight years, but Coronado has been far from quiet.

Wilkinson-Sinton brings up the old, tired refrain that Coronado should have joined the IB lawsuit against the IBWC. This assertion was recently debunked by Councilmember Carrie Downey. Select Item 10c from the menu to the right of the video, then advance the video to 53:42.

She said "we are not on the path to getting this fixed, we are not even close." That is a totally false statement.

Wilkinson-Sinton gives all credit on the TJ sewage efforts to Mayor Paloma Aguirre of Imperial Beach in 2022, but Coronado has been working on this issue as far back as 2017 under the leadership of Mayor Richard Bailey, former Councilmember Whitney Benzian, and Councilmember John Duncan.

At 33:47 into this video, Laura Wilkinson-Sinton makes reference to air quality testing which said that toxic gas was in the air in Imperial Beach, but subsequent testing by the County and the EPA could not replicate the initial results. Yet, Wilkinson-Sinton continues to talk about the initial results and leave out the fact that the county, the state, and the federal government have looked into this issue and have come to a different conclusion. Read this article.

...the county’s own hazardous incident response team, which went out with the researchers, could not replicate the data, and after testing on two separate days, the county declared the area smelly but safe.
